If one morning I would wake up as my father ?and he as me, I would skip the drama of being surprised by this jape of the universe and would run straight to his bedside to ?wake him in a the most frightening way I can think of.Probably by reenacting a scene from ?My fair Lady? on the top of my lungs.Then I would use my new gained authority to impress on him that washing his teeth is a matter of life and death and every cigarette shortens his lifespan by six minutes.Before we part,I would tell him about the shortcut thru our neighbors garden and reassure him that there are no dangers involved, which would not be lying but an adjustment of my new found point of view.Two heartbeats after entering the garden dad would hear the pointed cries of ?Lucifer!?.No, contrary to normal expectations the neighbor is not performing an exorcise, urging his dog to go after the intruder,which will prove infinitely more perilous.My dad teaches chemistry at the University ,so I am certain that he will do brilliantly on my math and chemistry quizzes,while in school. Contrary to that, my teaching skills might be a bit rusty or all together nonexistent(after teaching my sister the alphabet and she ended up by forgetting it a week later,I kind of gave up).My first assignment as a professor would be a quiz. The quiz however will consist of general knowledge questions.Chemistry might be the?science?of??matter?,but who is to say what ?matters?and what doesn?t? An atom and a Sherlock Holmes novel are both equally intriguing, not to mention that Holmes himself is described as a skilled chemist.At the end of the day I would see what we see at the end of every day,our world is shaped into little squares governed by little ambitions.Adults might be used to this but a child?s duty is to show them that life is beautiful and a miracle.As Peter Pan said”If growing up means it would be beneath my dignity to climb a tree,I’ll never grow up!”.?
