The Conversation Club had its tea parties at the famous bookshop, Carturesti, in the last two weeks of January. Surprisingly enough, not many of the children had been there before, but it was a great opportunity for them to explore the huge store and discover the magical world of books, DVDs, music, and of course, tea!
Well, let’s start from the beginning. The tea parties either took place in the attic or in the tea room. Both rooms were really spacious so you can imagine the kids running around there 😉 We kicked off the tea parties with a game called Messenger that tested the children’s talking and drawing skills at the same time. Then, we played a very popular party game in the English-speaking world, Pass the Parcel! We continued on with more competitions and games and ended with the crazy chocolate egg and spoon race!
No tea party is complete without the tea and boy, did we have a lot of it! It was the best fruit tea most of us had ever tasted (in fact, yours truly even bought a packet)! Then, we went on a tour around the bookshop and saw the Children’s section with English books, the Art and Craft section, the Tea section and the kitchen in the basement. It was a truly fun day and the staff at Carturesti was really friendly. The children had a blast and the parties ended with some educational shopping 😉 It was another great experience with my wonderful bunch of talkative and fun-loving kids!
