Yesterday I saw an old man with a walking stick, trying to cross the street. He could barely walk. Nobody helped him… I saw a little boy who was hiding for fear that other students would hit him.
On the news, they were speaking about the pollution and the way it damages the Earth and the beautiful colour of the sky.
Later, I heard my parents talking about how insecure the world is nowadays and I asked myself: ” How would it be to live in an ideal world?”
The answer came with a dream about a wonderful world, just like the one I’d like to live in.
Everything around me was absolutely wonderful. The sky was such a clear blue that I almost couldn’t stop watching it. The wind blowing through the leaves sounded so sweet that I felt I could live in that world forever. All the people around me were smiling at each other. I looked for the old man with the walking stick and the frightened kid that looked like a lost kitten…None of them was around. All people were looking healthy, happy and equal. The little kid was walking like a lion, full of courage. The old man was walking easily. Everywhere I looked I could see love. There were no worried people trying to guess like from a magic globe what was going to happen the next day. In this world everything was perfect. My father was so handsome and my mother…She was the most beautiful of all! I seemed to be taller. I was walking with my head up, without being afraid that somebody might hit me for no reason..What a wonderful world!
I woke up. Oh, how I wanted to live for just a few more seconds in that ideal world! Or at least, to take something from there with me…But I could take something! That wonderful love. I ran to my mother and gave her a big hug. I said: “I love you so much, mum!” and our world seemed beautiful, too.
