The concept of perfection
, by Razvan Olariu, student at School no. 49, Bucharest

The perfect world is not an abstract concept, but an untouchable existence. It is like a mirror…you have to look through the appearance to see “the lion inside the cat”, or “the elephant inside the mouse “.

Our world has never been perfect, but even if we don’t know how it would be, “perfect” suggests divinity, inspiring confidence. Because it has never been discovered, perfection suggests something different to each of us. Many people would take the perfect world as a dimension of advanced technology, where “a stick is never just a stick, but a portable hologram projector”. On the contrary, some people would enjoy a world without gadgets, where the purity of nature seen from a simple window would be breathtaking.

Do not just try to “see perfection in a crystal ball“…just develop your own vision about “the land of dreams”. In my opinion, building the perfect world would be no challenge if “the first brick of the wall is communication”. Just imagine you would have the chance to live in your own version of the perfect world for one day. I don’t know about you…but I would simply lie on the grass and stare at each and every detail around me. I would do anything to obtain lots of memories so that I could share them with my family and my friends once I am back home.

If I had the incredible opportunity of living in such a “dream” for a short period of time, I’m sure there would be a lot of souvenirs I would like to buy for my friends … anyway, even if I could take anything I’d like, I would choose something minor – like a postcard – being afraid of the thought of destroying this harmony.

As I noticed a few days ago, people are permanently “running desperately” to catch at least one minute of perfection,…..but maybe that’s why they never reach it.
